Polychloroprene Rubber (CR)

Polychloroprene (neoprene, CR) is a chlorinated diene rubber with a useful balance of oil, weather, ozone, and flame resistance that general-purpose NR/SBR/BR do not match. Mercaptan-modified and sulfur-modified types (often called CR232/CR244 families) differ in crystallization rate, tensile strength, and processing.

Industry Applications

Hoses, belts, seals and gaskets, cable jackets, adhesives (contact cements), molded industrial goods, and applications that need oil and weather resistance together. Specific crystallization and Mooney grades are selected at inquiry.
