Phenolic Tackifying Resin

Phenolic tackifying resins of the p-tert-octylphenol-formaldehyde novolac type are thermoplastic, light-colored resins used to raise tack and peel in rubber and adhesive compounds. They are not intended as the primary vulcanizing resin.

Industry Applications

Rubber adhesives, tire and belting compounds, contact cements, and elastomer tackification. Heat-reactive curing phenolics are a separate product family.
