Curing Resin (Grade SL-7015)

Product Overview

Curing resins are specialized thermosetting polymers formed by the condensation reaction of phenol or substituted phenols with formaldehyde. These heat-reactive materials exhibit exceptional thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, making them essential components in various industrial applications. The resins demonstrate excellent adhesion properties, low water absorption, and superior dimensional stability under elevated temperatures.

As cross-linking agents, curing resins play a crucial role in rubber processing, adhesive formulations, and coating systems. Their methylol-functional groups enable efficient cross-linking with elastomeric substrates, resulting in superior mechanical and thermal performance with excellent heat resistance and reduced compression set.

Technical Notes

  • SL-7015: Flake product with no dust, easily dissolved in solvents and mixed with rubber compounds. Recommended dosage: 8-12 phr. Use with 5-10% neoprene or 2-5% metal halide as activator.
  • SL-7025 & SL-7025Y: Designed for contact adhesives with excellent heat resistance and small compression set properties.
  • All grades are soluble in aromatic solvents and form vulcanized compounds with excellent thermal stability.

Packaging and Storage

Packaging: 20kg PE bag or Kraft bag with inner PE coating

Storage: Cool, dry place below 35°C (25°C for SL-7025Y), 12 months shelf life. Recommended use within 6 months to prevent agglomeration. Avoid sunlight and moisture exposure.
