Alpha-Methylstyrene Resin (AMS Resin)

AMS resin is a water-white aromatic tackifier from cationic polymerization of α-methylstyrene (often with other styrenic monomers). High aromaticity and cohesive strength make it useful where a pale, high-softening-point resin is needed in rubber and adhesives.

Industry Applications

Tire and rubber compounding, hot-melt adhesives, TPE modification, and plastic processing aids. Softening-point grades are selected at inquiry.
