Phenolic Curing Resin

Phenolic curing resins are heat-reactive phenol-formaldehyde resins used to crosslink unsaturated rubbers (especially butyl, EPDM, and other low-unsaturation elastomers). They give heat-stable vulcanizates with good compression set and chemical resistance, unlike sulfur cures in some high-temperature recipes.

Industry Applications

Rubber vulcanization for bladders, hoses, belts, seals, and other heat-resistant molded goods. Alkylphenol tackifiers and thermoplastic phenolic tackifiers are listed separately.
