Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD)

DCPD is a cyclic diene recovered from steam-cracker C5 streams. It is a monomer and intermediate, not a finished tackifier resin: it feeds hydrocarbon resins, unsaturated polyester, ENB, and specialty norbornene chemistry.

Industry Applications

DCPD hydrocarbon resins, UPR and PDCPD, ethylidene norbornene (EPDM termonomer), and other cycloolefin intermediates. Finished DCPD resins are listed under hydrocarbon resins.
