Diethylene Glycol (DEG)

DEG is a dihydroxy ether by-product of ethylene oxide hydration, with a higher boiling point and viscosity than MEG. It is a solvent, humectant, and polyester intermediate.

Industry Applications

Unsaturated polyester resins, plasticizers, brake fluids and other functional fluids, solvents, and gas dehydration (with care regarding purity specs).
