C5 Hydrocarbon Resin

C5 hydrocarbon resins are thermoplastic tackifiers made by polymerizing aliphatic C5 petroleum fractions (piperylene-rich streams). They are light-colored, low-polarity resins with good compatibility with SIS, SBS, EVA, and natural rubber, and they build tack and cohesion in adhesive and rubber recipes.

Industry Applications

Hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes and labels, rubber compounding, road-marking, and polymer modification. Softening point and color grade are selected at inquiry.
