Toluene

Toluene is a C7 aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and chemical intermediate (TDI, benzoic acid, and others). It has high solvency for many resins, rubbers, and adhesives, with faster evaporation than xylene.

Industry Applications

Coatings, adhesives, rubber cements, inks, and chemical synthesis. Xylene is listed separately as the slower C8 aromatic solvent.
